Born in Chile, Ignacio entered the world of metal as a teenager and became the drummer of Pirosaint, one of the pillars of Chilean thrash. His musical evolution continued in the United States, where he joined or collaborated with multiple projects including Pirosaint (1989-now), Primate (1998-2001), Quemasantos (2012-now), All Angels Massacre (2014-2019), and the NYC band Downfire (2007–2010). Within New York’s metal scene, he has also been an active force performing and creating with local acts such as Metalfier (2017), becoming part of the fabric of the city’s underground movement.
His journey behind the drums expanded onto the road: touring in 2010 with Ronny Munroe (Metal Church) and touring in 2010 with Sacred Oath (live drummer 2011). These tours cemented his identity as a dynamic performer, blending discipline, power, and a deep sense of musical storytelling.
In parallel with his musical life, Ignacio forged a powerful voice in photography and film. Beginning with concert photography, he developed a style that captures not just the performance, but the atmosphere - the sweat, the texture, the electricity of live music. His visual universe grew into food photography, where he uses cinematic lighting and deep color tones; boudoir, where he emphasizes elegance, intimacy, and emotional presence; and portraits, building images that feel alive, expressive, and intentional.
Ignacio is also a cultural documentarian dedicated to supporting and elevating Latin American metal and independent artists. He founded Digmetalworld, Chileanmetal, and ArmyOfOneTV, platforms through which he has filmed, photographed, and interviewed hundreds of bands throughout the U.S., Chile, and beyond. His work preserves the stories, the sound, and the identity of a global underground community.
Today, based in New York City, Ignacio continues to create across disciplines — composing rhythms, shaping images, producing media, and building projects that connect art, culture, and human experience. His work is driven by intensity, honesty, and a lifelong devotion to rhythm, imagery, and creative expression.
